Welcome to this free eLearning resource, designed for anyone who supports children and young people with asthma. The course is aligned to the Tier 1 Capabilities set out in the National Bundle of Care for Children and Young People with Asthma and successful completion of the eLearning certifies you as having achieved the capabilities for Tier 1. Your certification is valid for 24 months from the date of course completion (as recommended in the Capabilities Framework) – you will not be able to retake the course and generate a new certificate during this period. However, we strongly recommend that you keep your asthma knowledge up-to-date and seek advice if you are unsure how to support a child or young person in your care. A list of useful resources can be found at the end of this course, along with a downloadable summary resource that can be used to evidence how you are keeping your knowledge up-to-date.
